LEO J. ZIARNIK
Leo J. Ziarnik, 77, of 3617 MacArthur Dr., Manitowoc, died Thursday at Holy
Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at
10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Thaddeus J.
Koszarek will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Ziarnik was born June 11, 1897, at Manitowoc, son of the late Frank and
Mary Becker Ziarnik. He married Christine Wattawa May 28, 1924, at St. Joseph
Catholic Church, Kellnersville. They resided at Manitowoc until 1950 when
they moved to Milwaukee where he was employed as a guard at Joseph Schlitz
Brewery, retiring in 1967 and returning to Manitowoc. Mr. and Mrs. Ziarnik
observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1974.
Survivors include his wife and nieces and nephews. Three brothers and a sister
preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral home from 6 to 9 o’clock this Friday
evening, where a memorial service will be at 7:30 o’clock.
