Charles C. Young, 78, of 1117 South Seventh street, a resident of
Manitowoc for nearly 50 years died last night at his home, following
a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Pfeffer funeral
home, the Rev. Ernest Brittain of the St. Pauls Methodist church
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
He was born in Chicago in 1867 and was employed as a bricklayer there.
In 1900 he married Miss Amelia Koch. Locating here 48 years ago, he
was employed as a yard clerk by the North Western road and later a
caretaker at the Manitowoc Savings bank. He was a member of the
bricklayers union and the Eagles.
Survivors are three brothers, Henry, William and George all of Chicago;
four sisters, Mrs. Edward Trovost, Rose Young, Mrs. Leslie McKenzie and
Mrs. Arthur Bonnet all of Chicago.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after Sunday noon.
