CASIMIR (sic) YOUNG DIES AT HOME
Town of Mishicot Farmer's Injuries Were Fatal
Casimir Young, 66, well known town of Mishicot farmer, residing on Two Rivers,
Route 2, died Saturday night as a result of injuries sustained last Tuesday
while he was engaged in hauling gravel for the county highway department.
Mr. Young received several fractured ribs when he was knocked from his seat on
his wagon with the wheels passing over his chest at the county gravel chute.
His team of horses became frightened when the wagon was backed into the chute
and ran away, throwing Mr. Young from the vehicle and under the wheels. He was
rushed to his home a short distance away for treatment, but he failed to
improve.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the home.
Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery at Manitowoc. The remains were taken to
the home from the Specht funeral parlors at Mishicot.
Mr. Young was born in the town of Mishicot, March 4, 1867 and resided his entire
life in the township. He was married on April 17, 1911 to Attelia (sic) Schroeder,
who survives him, with three children.
Besides his widow he leaves two sons, Raymond and Melvin, both at home, a daughter,
Leona Young of Manitowoc, and two stepdaughters, Mrs. R.M. Lennon of Boardman,
N.C., and Emma Schroeder of Madison, Wis., and a brother, Nick of Redlands, Calif.
