Carol J. Young, age 76, of 1405 South 19th Street, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Harbor House Assisted Living Facility in Manitowoc.
Carol was born on September 10, 1934, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Charles and Vlasta (Cherney) Reindl. She married Howard E. Young on September 4, 1956, at Noctor, Kentucky. She was employed for many years at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center until her retirement in 1995.
She is survived by her husband: Howard E. Young, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: Douglas (Ann) Young, Waukesha; one daughter and son-in-law: Becky (George) Novitski, Mishicot; four grandchildren: Kimberly Young, Iowa; Tessa Young, Waukesha; Heather (Joe) Nicholas, Waupun; Travis Van Lanen, Two Rivers; one brother and sister-in-law: Patrick (Sarah) Miller, Manitowoc. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son: Robin Bradley; her adopted father: Bob Miller; and other relatives also preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home in Manitowoc. Deacon Al Boeldt officiated and burial took place at Evergreen Cemetery.
