Bessie (Marcus) Yecies, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, age 91, Squirrel Hill; beloved wife of the late Sidney Yecies (1985); loving mother of Mark L. (Ellen Roche) Yecies, Potomac, MD, and the late Jay E. Yecies (1971); cherished grandmother of Sharon R. Yecies and Joanne S. Yecies; and dear sister of Harry Marcus, of FL, Andrew (Celine) Marcus of AZ, and the late Olga Linton & Ella Zukerman. Mrs. Yecies was a former president of the Beth Shalom Sisterhood (1961-1963), and had been active with many Jewish organizations throughout her life. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 9am in the Chapel of the Burton L. Hirsch Funeral Home, Squirrel Hill. No prior visitation. Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery.
