Plainview News Obituary: Mrs. A. Wright Answers Great Call Wednesday: Addie Wright, born Addie Hardy passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cora Miller here Wednesday evening following an illness extending back to February, when she suffered a stroke of paralysis. Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Friday) at the Foley and Lindsey Funeral parlors at 2 p.m. Rev. C.F. Stratton will officiate. Mrs. Wright spent her girlhood days in Colebrook, New Hampshire, her birthplace, coming West in 1869 with her mother and younger sisters and brothers. They settled in Indian Creek, Minnesota, where she resided until 1875 when she married Orrin W. Wright at Wabasha. She taught in the pioneer schools in this vicinity for several years beginning her school teaching career at the age of 14. The deceased and her husband settled in Whitewater Falls, Minnesota, after their marriage where they continued to live until they moved to Plainview in 1919. Mr. Wright passed away October 19, 1930. Since that time Mrs. Wright has made her home with her daughter. Surviving relatives are: two daughters, Mrs. Cora Miller and Mrs. Clarence Spengler (Avis) both of Plainview and two sons, Verne of Plainview and Clyde of Des Moines, Iowa. Also eight grandchildren, two half brothers, Grant Young, Hemet, California and Guy Young of Sand Point, Idaho.
