Mrs. Carol Jansky Wookey, 37, of Dorris, Calif., died Tuesday, June 7, following an automobile accident near her home at Dorris, Calif.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 11, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Clamath Falls, Oregon. The Rev. Joseph Kelgel officiated and cremation followed. Private graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, with the Rev. William Zimmer officiating, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Wookey was born Dec. 28, 1945, at Two Rivers, daughter of Paul and Estelle Jansky of Manitowoc. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, Manitowoc, and was graduated from Holy Family Academy, and then attended Milwaukee Nursing School, graduating as an LPN. She was married to Claude Wookey, Nov. 1, 1969, at Eagle, Colo. Mrs. Wookey was a licensed practical nurse for Butte Valley Clinic and was on call as an emergency medical technician for Butte Valley Ambulance Service. She was a member fo Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Clamath Falls, Oregon.
Survivors include her husband, Claude; two sons, Christopher Wookey and Frank Wookey of Dorris, Calif.; two daughters, Patricia Wookey and Jessica Wookey of Dorris, Calif., her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jansky of Manitowoc; a sister, Miss Mary Jansky of Manitowoc; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, James and Geri Jansky of Crivits, Charles and Ann Jansky of Bonduel, and Stephanie Jansky of London, England, and two nieces, Jill Jansky of Crivitz, and Victoria Jansky of London, England. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard.
