Tom was a quartz miner near Prescott, Arizona, and became ill. He returned to Bigelow, Missouri, where his aunt and uncle, Asa & Sarah Turpin cared for him until he died a few weeks later. His body was brought to Rippey for burial.
Jefferson Bee, 12 Feb 1908 - The remains of Mr. Thomas Wolf of Tuscon, Arizona, were brought to Rippey last Thursday from Bigelow, Missouri. The funeral services were held Friday at 2:30 at the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. Keser. The remains were laid to rest in the Rippey cemetery. Mr. Wolf died at the age of 53 years. He was a brother of Mrs. Smith and Geo. and Joe Wolf of this place. The friends have the sympathy of the community in this bereavement. [Later research showed he lived at Prescott AZ, not Tuscon.]
