Death: 1862

Deputy Clerk of Shenandoah County from 1829-1845 and clerk from 1845 to 1862: Member of the house of delegates for three terms: Member of four Democratic national Conventions and state conventions of 1850 and 1861. He organized the Muhlenberg Rifleman was commissioned Captain and led his company to the front at the first call of the state. A fatal illness cut short his career as a faithful public servant-a trusted leader. His wife Sarah Carpenter (Ott) Williams.
