Edna M. Wier, age 90, formerly of 965 S. 35th St., a current resident of the
Manitowoc Health Care Center, died Saturday morning, November 14, 1998, at the
center.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 1998, at the
Pfeffer Funeral Home. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Richard Miller,
with burial at the Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Edna was born May 18, 1908 in Kewaunee, Wis., daughter of the late Bohmil and Emma
Kuehl Pavlat. She married August L. Wier, on July 22, 1929, at St. Mary Catholic
Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1980.
Survivors include, one son and two daughters-in-law, Gerald and Jeanne Wier, Manitowoc,
and Mrs. Beverly Wier, Manitowoc; one daughter, Lonie Braunel, Manitowoc; one sister,
Harriet Mauer, Algoma; one sister-in-law, Mable Waterstreet, Green Bay; five
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren. She is further
survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death
by two sons, George and Robert Wier; one daughter-in-law, Toshiko Wier; two brothers,
Roy Waterstreet, and Harvey Pavlat; and a great-grandson, Christopher Wier.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until
the time of service at 11 a.m.
