August L. Wier, 74, of 965 S. 35th St., Manitwooc, died Saturday morning,
Jan. 26, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home. The Rev.
Roy L. Crain will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Wier was born Sept. 7, 1905, at Manitowoc, son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Michael Wier. He was employed at Mirro Aluminum Company in Manitowoc until
his retirement in 1970. He married Edna M. Pavlat, July 22, 1929, at St.
Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Edna, two sons, Gerald A. and Robert J. Wier of
Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Lonie and Clyde Braunel of Manitowoc;
a daughterin-law (sic), Mrs. Beverly Wier of Manitowoc; two brothers, Alois
and Joseph Wier of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Felix (Mary) Budnick of Manitowoc;
five grandchildren (private). A son George preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home Monday 9 a.m. until the time of
