Mrs. Christ (Pearl T.) Wiegand, 71, of 1114 S. 27th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, May 20, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Bruce W. Hanstedt will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Wiegand was born Aug. 22, 1910, in the Township of Utica, Winnebago County, Wis., daughter of the late Bernard and Leda Rusch Stueber. She grew up and was educated in Winnebago County, and was graduated from Berlin High School in 1927. She was married to Christ J. Wiegand Feb. 10, 1928, at Menominee, Mich. The couple moved to Manitowoc in 1933 where they have resided since. Mrs. Wiegand was a member of First Lutheran Church, Ruth Circle of First Lutheran Church Women, and Eagles Auxiliary Aerie 706.
Survivors include her husband, Christ; six sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Sylvia of Manitowoc, Harvey and Shirley of Peshtigo, Donald and Verna of Manitowoc, Chris and Charlett of Ripon, Tom and Peggy of Rochester, Minn., and Dale and Deborah of Crystal Lake, Ill.; a brother, Arthur Stueber of Oshkosh; a sister, Mrs. Raymond (Fern) Schultz of Rosendale, Wis.; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, a sister and a brother.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Friday evening and Saturday until 11 a.m., and at the church from noon until the time of services.
