THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, June 20, 1907, page 4, column 2. "LIFE AND DEATH - Born to Mr. and Mrs. Bert Whitney, June 9, 1907, a son. It was only permitted to stay with them twenty-four hours until sadness entered their home and the death angel claimed the little one and took it to its heavenly home. Jesus said: "Suffer little children to come unto me; for of such is the Kingdom of heaven." The parents have the sympathy of all their friends in their sad affliction. There was a short services at the home conducted by Rev. White of Maxwell, after which tender hands laid it away to rest in the Maxwell cemetery. Our prayer is that the parents may live so that they may meet their darling babe in the heavenly home. A Friend."
