LLOYD WHITNEY Jr.
MILTONVALE - The funeral for Lloyd Whitney Jr., 54, Miltonvale, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the F.C. Hill Memorial Church, Miltonvale, the Rev. Ronald R. Brannon officiating. Burial will be in Miltonvale Cemetery.
Mr. Whitney died Saturday at his home. He was born May 28, 1925, at Miltonvale, and lived in the area all his life. He was an automotive mechanic and a member of the Concordia Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge. He was a current member of the Miltonvale City Council and was a former Miltonvale School Board member.
Survivors are the wife, Lorena; a son, Tom, Sun City, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Sue Miesner, Versailles, Mo.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Linda Simpson, Miltonvale; the mother, Mrs. Ina Whitney, Miltonvale; a brother, Keith, Princeton, N.J.; six sisters, Mrs. Winifred Payne, Topeka; Mrs. Shirley Oplinger, Wichita; Mrs. June Jantz, Midland, Mich.; Mrs. Beth Dyer, Salina; Mrs. Ruth Smith, Miltonvale, and Mrs. Pat Spatz, Mulvane, and 10 grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Heart Fund. Friends may call at the Phelps Funeral Home, Miltonvale.
