Mrs. Meta M. White, 93, of St. Mary Home, 2005 Division St., Manitowoc, died Monday evening, March 28, at the home.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church Chapel, Manitowoc. The Rev. Bruce W. Hanstedt will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. White, nee Meta Schwarz, was born Sept. 22, 1889, at Sheboygan, daughter of the late Wilhelm and Wilhelmina Buchert Schwarz. She grew up and was educated in Sheboygan. She was married to Wilbur J. White Aug. 7, 1910, at Bangor, Mich. He preceded her in death Oct. 12, 1972. She was a former member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Chruch.
Survivors include two sons, W. Earl White of Orange, Calif., and Wilbur Duane White of Manitowoc; two daughters and a son-in-law, Virginia and Al Telleson of Manitowoc and Mrs. Donna Tills of Fond du Lac; a brother, William Schwarz of Two Rivers; a sister, Mrs. Esther Palmer of Manitowoc, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Schmitt and Mrs. Vera (Billie) Johnson and a brother, Arnold Schwarz preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 o'clock to 7 o'clock this Wednesday afternoon and at the chapel from noon Thursday until the time of service.
