Arthur F. Wetenkamp, 73, formerly of 1211 South 31st Street, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 9, at Shady Lane Home.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Chapel. The Rev. Bruce W. Hanstedt will officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Wetenkamp was born December 6, 1910, at Manitowoc, son of the late George and Caroline Fulheim Wetenkamp Sr. Mr. Wetenkamp was a life long resident of Manitowoc. He worked at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company for many years, retiring in 1973. He married the former Caroline F. Heinkes on September 6, 1941, at Dubuque, Iowa. She preceded him in death March 28, 1977. Mr. Wetenkamp was a member of First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include two brothers, Elmer Wetenkamp of Manitowoc and Gerald Wetenkamp of Newton, nieces and nephews also survived. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday evening. Tuesday until 11 a.m. and at the chapel from noon until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church.
