Mrs. Lauretta C. Werner, nee O'Connell, of 1901 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, died Thursday evening, October 29, at Holy Family Hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo J. Schmitt and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Werner was born at Maple Grove, Wis., daughter of the late Michael and Margaret Driscoll O'Connell. She was educated at St. Patrick Catholic School, Maple Grove, and Manitowoc Teachers College, and taught school in Milwaukee for many years. Her husband, Peter Werner, preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1969. She was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and Christian Mothers and Altar Society.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Morgan and Helen O'Connell of Whitelaw; a sister and brother-in-law, Cora and Edward Fritsch of Manitowoc and several nieces. Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Friday afternoon. A prayer service will be conducted at 8 o'clock by Mr. Donald Schneider.
