Mrs. Ida M. Wernecke, 95, of 1412 Madison Street, Manitowoc, died
Monday, July 13, 1987 at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital,
Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday at First
German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Arno Wolfgramm will
officiate and interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Wernecke was born December 19, 1891 in the Town of Newton, daughter
of the late Herman and Sophie Vetting Wernecke. She was educated in
Newton. She married Fred Wernecke on October 29, 1913, in the Town of
Newton. The couple farmed until 1960 when they came to Manitowoc. Her
husband preceded her in death in 1960. Mrs. Wernecke was a member of
First German Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Eleanor Wernecke
of Wauwatosa; a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Leland Stuckmann of
Manitowoc; two granddaughters and their husbands, Carol and Kevin
McCradden of Eden Prairie, Minnesota and Karen and Robert Eno of
Plymouth, Minnesota, and two great grandchildren, Michael and Megan Eno.
She was preceded in death by a son and three brothers.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 pm to 9 pm Thursday
and Friday from 9 am to 11 am and then at the church from 12 noon to the
time of services.
