MERCEDES L. WELNETZ

Mrs. Mercedes L. Welnetz, 66, of 518 S. 29th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday,
April 28, 1987 at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10 am
Saturday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arthur Wille will officiate
and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Welnetz was born November 28, 1920 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late
Charles and Lillie Mickel Becker. She was educated in the Manitowoc School
System. Mrs. Welnetz was a Nurses Aid for Holy Family Hospital. She was married
to Joseph Welnetz in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in 1977. Mrs. Welnetz
was past president of the Manitowoc Braille Club.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Welnetz of Mount Prospect, Illinois and Paul
Welnetz of DeKalb, Illinois; a brother, August Becker of Manitowoc; two sisters,
Lucille Steinsholt of Manitowoc and Grace Crandall of Missouri.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 pm to 8 pm Friday and from
8:30 am until the time of services on Saturday.
