William Wells, 45, of 910 Division St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning at
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, of a cerebral hemorrhage. He had suffered a
stroke Tuesday night.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First German Evangelical and
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, with the Rev. L. H. Koeninger officiating. Burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Wells was born at Sasketoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, son of the late Christ
Wells and Mrs. Charlotte Schneider Wells. He came to Manitowoc in 1917, moved
to Chicago where he resided 10 years and then returned to Manitowoc in 1937
where March 3, 1933, he married Leona Armbruster. He was a veteran employe of
Aluminum Specialty Co. and had been given a 25-year award.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Donald Endries of Manitowoc and
Miss Judith Wells, a teacher at Wausau; mother, Mrs. Wells, and three brothers,
Emil of Manitowoc, Walter of Los Angeles and Arthur of Eau Claire.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 4 p.m.
Thursday until ___ a.m. Friday when the casket will be moved to the church
where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
