Former Resident Dies Suddenly at Rhinelander
Fred Welk, a former well known resident of this city, died suddenly at Rhinelander
Thursday after a brief illness due to pleurisy, news of his demise which reached
here in messages to friends proving a great shock as letters from the family at
Christmas made no mention of Mr. Welk’s illness. Decedent resided here up to two
years ago. He was 60 years of age and is survived by a widow and seven children.
The body of Mr. Welk will be brought here Sunday and will be taken to the under-
taking rooms of Frazier Bros. from where the funeral will be held Monday at 2,
Rev. Machmiller officiating.
