WALTER A. WAGNER (d. 1975)

Walter A. Wagner, 68, of 416 Riverview Dr., Manitowoc, died Saturday morning
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bethany Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Keith A. Haberkorn will officiate with burial in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Wagner was born Aug. 18, 1906, in the Town of Rockland, son of the late
Ernest and Anna Schroeder Wagner. He was educated in Town of Rockland schools
and married Lorena Krueger June 24, 1928, at Reedville. He farmed in the
Reedsville area until 1947, when he moved to Manitowoc. Mrs. Lorena Krueger
preceded him in death Dec. 9, 1964. He then married Esther Larson Schnell
Nov. 18, 1967, at Bethany Lutheran Church, the Rev. Robert Sawall officiating.
He had been employed at Lauson Chevrolet until his retirement in 1972 and at
the present time was janitor for Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and School.
He was a member of the church.
Survivors include his wife, a son and daughter-in-law, Eli and Delores Wagner,
of Milton, Pa.; a brother, Daniel, of Sussex, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Anton
(Mabel) Schroeder and Mrs. Reuben (Alberta) Federwitz, of Brillion and three
grandchildren, Fay, of Onalaksa, Wis., Wayne, of St. Paul, Minn, and Jeffrey,
of Bladensburg, Md. A sister, Mrs. Henry (Frieda) Klann, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, State Street chapel, from
4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and at the church from 11 a.m. Monday until the time of
service.
