Alexander Wagner, Sr., 90, formerly of Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, died Tuesday
evening at Maple Crest Home, Whitelaw.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Glenn Unke will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Wagner was born Nov. 21, 1880, at Rosenheim, Russia, son of the late Conrad
and Laina Wagner. He married Anna Loeffler in 1905 in Russia. They migrated to
the United States in 1911 and settled at Wausau until 1921 when the came to
Manitowoc. He had been employed as a sander at the Manitowoc Seating Co. His
wife preceded him in death in 1964.
Survivors include three sons, Alex of Sheboygan, Henry of Manitowoc and John
of Appleton; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Anne) Tate and Mrs. Mollie Klein of
Manitowoc; 19 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren. A son preceded him in
death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Thursday until
noon Friday and then at the church until the time of services.
