Shooting Victim. She was one of six women shot at the Jewish Federation Center in downtown Seattle by a 30 year old Muslim-American. Born and raised in Minnesota, she moved to Seattle with her husband in 1979, graduating with a degree in nutrition from the University of Washington. A convert to Judaism in the mid 1960s, she worked at the Jewish Federation Center for several years as an outreach coordinator and campaign fund raising director. Prior to joining the Seattle Jewish Center she worked as a food bank manager at the Jewish Family Service and also as a volunteer for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. She died from gunshot wounds she received at the scene of the shooting at the age of 58. She is survived by her former ex-husband, a brother and two grown children.
