Leo Frank Voss, 53, janitor at the Vocational school, died early Saturday
evening at the Holy Family hospital following a heart attack suffered at
his home, 624 S. 20th street.
The Rev. James Voss of Chicago, a relative of the deceased man, will
officiate at the requiem mass to be held at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning at
the St. Paul Catholic church. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Preceding the mass there will be short servives at 8:30 o'clock at the
Shimek and Schwartz funerl parlor where the body is now lying in state.
Mr. Voss was born in Germany Oct. 22, 1891, and came to this country and
Manitowoc in 1913. His marriage to Anna Heeser occurred on May 9, 1914,
and she survives with one daughter, Elsa, of Manitowoc and a son, Paul,
in the navy and somewhere in the Pacific. Others survivors are three
brothers, Joseph, August and Theodore Voss, all of Manitowoc; four sisters,
Mrs. Martha Beck, Mrs. Lena Meyer and Mrs. Margaret Siegenthaler, all of
Chicago and Mrs. Ernest Strub of Manitowoc.
The deceased was a member of the local aerie of Eagles. At 7 o'clock this
evening the rosary will be recited at the funeral parlors.
