AUGUST L. VOSS

August L. Voss, 64, retired, died Wednesday night at his home, 1916 Western
Ave., Manitowoc, after a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the Mittnacht Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, and at 8 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Clement Kern
will officiate and burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Born Nov. 2, 1888, in Lauenburg, Germany, he came to the United States and
directly to Manitowoc with his mother, two brothers and a sister in 1918. Mr.
Voss was employed at the American Seating Company until 1926 when he accepted
employment with Invincible Metal Furniture Company. Mr. Voss, who never
married, retired in 1945. He was a member of the St. Paul Church Holy Name
Society and the Frier Saengerbund.
Survivors include two brothers, Joseph and Theodore of Manitowoc; and three
sisters, Mrs. Rose Strub of Manitowoc and Mrs. Martha Beck and Mrs. Adolph
Siegenthaler of Chicago.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday. The rosary will be
recited at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
