Anna L. Volz Anna L. Volz, age 98, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Friday, Nov. 17, 2006, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday (TODAY) at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, 6425 County Highway C, town of Newton. The Rev. Kyle Sorensen will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Anna was born Jan. 19, 1908, in Frankenbach, Germany. She married Immanuel A. Volz on Jan. 7, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death Sept. 28, 1983. Anna was a member of Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church and the Ladies Aid of the church. She is survived by one daughter and two sons-in-law: Swanhild and David Tess, Brookfield, Wis.; Kenneth Benfield, Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Kevin (Sue) Tess, Pewaukee, Wis.; Greg (Tami) Tess, Cedarburg; Ranada (Michael) Hassemer, Manitowoc; Julie (Lou) Melini, Salt Lake City, Utah; Elizabeth (Robert) Reinke, Green Bay; Paul (Melissa) Benfield, Manitowoc; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law: Samuel (Martha) Volz, Germany; other relatives and friends surviving. She was preceded in death by her husband: Immanuel Volz; one daughter: Debora Benfield; one great-granddaughter: Anna Benfield. Relatives and friends may call at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church on Monday (TODAY) from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, North Eleventh and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
