LESTER F. VOIGT
Lester F. Voigt, 70, of Valders, died Saturday morning, November 15, at Holy
Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Valders.
The Rev. Philemon Hensel will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Voigt was born Sept. 15, 1910, in Calumet County, son of the late August H.
and Clara Kasper Voigt. He was graduated from Valders High School and Lawrence
University and was owner and operator of Voigt Lumber Company, Valders, for
more than 50 years. He married Elva Hansen Aug. 1, 1939, at Valders. Mr. Voigt
was a 25 year member of Manitowoc Marine Band, former organist of Grace Lutheran
Church, a founding officer of Valder's Improvement Associatin, officer of Valders
State Bank and a member of National Lumbermen's Association and Wisconsin Retail
Association.
Survivors include his wife, a son and daughter-in-law, Arden and Karen Voigt of
Rotue 2, Reedsville, a daughter and son-in-law, Ardith and John Kupsch of Valders
and two grandchildren (private).
Friends may call at Chrisitanson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders, 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock
this Monday afternoon and at the church from noon Tuesday until the time of service.
