ELSIE VOIGT

Elsie C. Voigt, 89, formerly of Valders, died Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 16, at Manitowoc Health Care Center. Funeral services will be 11:30 am Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Michael Hamilton will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Voigt was born Feb. 19, 1896, at Collins, daughter of the late Gustave and Fredericka Matznick Valleskey. She attended Popelar Grove School and Collins School. She was married to Elmer T. Voigt, June 1, 1918 at Collins. Mrs. Voigt was a member of Valders and Collins Homemakers, a former 4-H Leader of the Rockland Sunshine club, Valders Senior Citizens and ALCW -FLCW.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Oliver and Ione of Manitowoc, Lloyd and Verna Mae of Manitowoc and Victor and Christine of Reedsville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Richard C. Smith of Manitowoc and Beverly and Edward Meyer of Milwaukee; a sister, Selma Allhiser of Shawano; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1964, a daughter, Carola, five brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders, 5 pm to 9 pm Friday and Saturday from 10:30 am until the time of services at the church.
