William Vogelsang, 70, former county resident, died suddenly yesterday
at the his home in Lander, Wyo., according to a telegram received here
by his nephew, Arnold Vogelsang of this city.
He was in Manitowoc on a visit only two weeks ago and returned west to
take charge of his business.
The body is to be brought to Manitowoc Monday. Funeral arrangements
will be announced at that time.
Mr. Vogelsang was born in the town of Newton and spent his early life
on the farm. Later he came to this city and for years operated a tavern
on South Eighth street. Nineteen years ago he moved to Lander and has
been engaged in the automobile business there, having a car agency and
garage.
Survivors are the widow, the former Ida Schmidt of this county; two
sons, Willard and Ervin and two daughters, Minnie and Caroline. A sister,
Mrs. Herman Strothoff of this city also survives.

Funeral services for William Vogelsang, former Manitowoc resident who died
last week at Lander, Wyoming, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Shimek
and Schwartz funeral home, the Rev. A. C. Fischer of the First Reformed church
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Survivors include the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Caroline Burgesen of Seattle,
Mrs. Minnie Richardson of Lander; two sons, Erwin of Lander, Willard of R _sin,
Wyoming; sister, Mrs. Minnie Strofhoff of this city.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
