Ernst Vogelsang, 36, Dies at Green Bay Hospital
After Second Operation Is Performed-Burial Here
Ernst Vogelsang, one of the best known young farmers of Manitowoc county,
owner of a large farm at Brown's Corners on the Calumet road, died at St.
Vincent's hospital at Green Bay, Saturday afternoon, following an operation,
the second which he had undergone in a few months. The body was brought here
and funeral services will be held from the late home Thursday afternoon at
1 o'clock, with interrment (sic) at Evergreen.
Several months ago Mr. Vogelsang suffered an attack of appendicitis and
entered the Green Bay hospital for an operation, which was apparently
successful. Lately he had not been well, and again entered the hospital and
was operated upon for adhesions. He failed to improve and Saturday death came
to him.
Mr. Vogelsang was 36 years of age, having been born July 3, 1880. He had made
his home in Manitowoc all of his life and was well and favorably known.
Besides a widow, Mr. Vogelsang is survived by one daughter, aged eight months,
his aged mother and three brothers and three sisters.
