Stanley Vilhauer, 75, Parkston, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church, Parkston.

Koehn Brothers Funeral Home, Parkston, is in charge of arrangements.

Stanley Vilhauer was born on May 26, 1936, to Chris and Magdalina (Bechtold) Vilhauer in Tripp.

He attended grade school in Tripp and later in Parkston.

He was united in marriage to MarJo Thuringer on April 27, 1958, in Tripp.

He worked for Parkston Produce, as janitor for Parkston School and later for Agland Co-op until retiring.

He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Parkston and spent his spare time gardening, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, MarJo, Parkston; two children: Douglas (Kim) Vilhauer, Parkston; and Linda (Russ) Flolo, Sioux Falls; three grandchildren: Jon and Paige Vilhauer and Clay Flolo; two stepgrandchildren: Justin Ayers and Korey Baenen; six stepgreat-grandchildren, a brother, Nathan (Minnie) Vilhauer, Parkston; and a sister, Viola Padgalskas, Whittier, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law and three brothers-in-law: Walt Padgalskas, Luvern Thuringer and Albin Roth.
