MARY LEE VETTING

Mrs. Jerome A. Mary Lee Vetting nee Schmidt, 38, of 960 Rosemere circle, Manitowoc, died Sunday, Sept 16, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Thursday at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Daniel J. Felton and Rev. William J. Eberhardy will concelebrate the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Vetting, was born Aug. 31, 1946, at West Bend, Wis., daughter of Leander J. and the late Melanie Wolf Schmidt. She grew up and was educated at West Bend and was a 1964 graduate of West Bend High School. Mary Lee obtained her L.P.N. degree in 1967 from Sacred Heart School of Practical Nursing at Milwaukee. She was employed at St. Mary Hospital, Milwaukee and then at St. Joseph Community Hospital at West Bend until her marriage. She was married to Jerome A. Vetting, May 10, 1969, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend. Mrs. Vetting, has been a Manitowoc resident since 1969 and had been employed at Prediatrics Department at Holy Family Hospital. She was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Chruch and was very active in the Catholic Junior League, having served as an officer. Mrs. Vetting was also a member of Holy Innocents Home-School Association.
Survivors include her husband, Jerome; two sons, Brad and Troy at home; a daughter, Stacie Lyn at home; her parents, Leander J. and Catherine A. Schmidt of West Bend; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Curtis (Judy) Schmidt of West Bend, Lee Schmidt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jerome Schmidt of Milwaukee and Dr. Robert (Jane) Schmidt of Richmond, Va; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herbert and Mabel Vetting of Manitowoc; a stepsister, Catherine Noyes of West Bend; two stepbrothers, Steven and Mark Wollner of West Bend; three brothers-in-law, Edward (Linda) Vetting, Wayne and Lary Vetting all of Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by her mother, Melanie Wolf Schmidt, Sept. 27, 1959.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, where a prayer service will be 8 p.m. by Deacon Doanld Gigure. Memorials may be made to Pediatrics Department of Holy Family Hospital.
