Mrs. Harold (Elda A.) Vetting, 78, of 1401 S. 10th Street, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Monday evening, October 30, 1989 at her residence. Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday at First German Evangelical Lutheran church Rev. Arno J. Wolfgramm will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Vetting was born September 8, 1911 in the Township of Manitowoc Rapids, daughter of the late Martha Lindemann Schrank. She grew up and was educated in the Township of Manitowoc Rapids, moving to Manitowoc as a young woman. She
married Harold Vetting on June 7, 1936 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Mrs. Vetting was an Avon Representative for nearly 20 years. She was a very active person at the Senior Center, Manitowoc Public Library and a local
craft group. Mrs. Vetting was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Evening Circle of the church.
Survivors include her husband, Harold; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Donald Frisque of Shawano, Wisconsin; a son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Debra Vetting of Appleton, Wisconsin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Elroy and Marion Schrank
of Manitowoc, Martin and Gloria Schrank of Manitowoc; a sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Kenneth Korte of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Priscilla Schrank of Manitowoc; six grandchildren, Deborah Frisque, Paul Frisque, Jacqueline Vetting, Elizabeth Vetting, Ryan Borgwardt, Ross Borgwardt, nieces, nephews and other relatives
and friends survive. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Schrank.
Friends may call at Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, 4 pm to 9 pm Wednesday and Thursday at the church from 10 am until the hour of service. Memorials
may be made to First German Evangelical Lutheran Church or Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
