HEART ATTACK PROVES FATAL
Herman Vetting, 74, Dies At Home Last Evening
Herman Vetting, 74, died at his home, 1412 Madison street, Thursday evening
following a heart attack. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at
1:30 from the home and at 2 o'clock from the German Lutheran church, the Rev.
Koeninger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The deceased was born in Manitowoc Nov. 1, 1860. He spent most of his life
farming in the town of Newton. Seven years ago he retired and moved to
Manitowoc. He was married to Sophia Hoeffner 49 years ago. His widow survives
him.
Survivors, besides the widow, include a daughter, Mrs. Fred Wernecke of Newton;
two sons, Arthur of Newton and Louis of this city; three brothers, William of
Manitowoc, Fred of Denver, and Emil of Rapids; and two sisters, Mrs. George
Anderson of Manitowoc and Mrs. Louise Schneider of Wauwatosa.
The body will be removed to the home Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the
Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home.
