Mrs. Amelia N. Verdahl, 80, died Sunday night at the home of her brother-in-law
and sister, Mr. and Mrs. George Oberg, 411 North Tenth street.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the St. Paul’s Norwegian
Lutheran church, the Rev. R. B. Walden officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery.
Mrs. Verdahl, nee Amelia Hanson, was born in this city in 1858, a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Peter Hanson. She was married to John Verdahl in Chicago 58 years ago.
The couple came to this city a number of years ago. Mr. Verdahl died 12 years
ago.
Survivors are a brother, Hans, Chicago; and sister, Mrs. George Oberg, city.
The body is at the Frazier mortuary and will be moved to the church Wednesday at
10 a.m. to lie in state until the hour of the services.
