Carmen L. Mlada Veeser, 83, 1495 Biemeret St., Green Bay, passed into eternal
life on Tuesday, April 5, 2005, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2005, at Emanuel
United Methodist Church, 1218 Madison St., Two Rivers. Pastor Sonia Alvarado
will officiate with interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Carmen Duebner was born Sept. 2, 1921, in Manitowoc, daughter of the
late Emil and Rose Werner Duebner. She graduated from Lincoln High School in
Manitowoc with the class of 1939. She was married to Robert W. Mlada on April 14,
1940. Robert preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 1984. In May 1987, she married
Felix Veeser of Kewaunee. Carmen and Felix traveled extensively around the world
until Felix passed away in November of 1996. Carmen was a very talented musician,
singing with the Bob Mlada Orchestra on occasion, and playing violin for many
years with the Manitowoc Civic Symphony. She also sang in her church choir
throughout her life. Carmen enjoyed golf, bowling, dancing and was an avid fisherman
and enjoyed many years at the family cottage in Eagle River. Carmen was employed
in the office of Memorial Hospital of Manitowoc for 21 years.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Thomas (Madelyn) Mlada of Elkhart
Lake; David (Gloria) Mlada of Two Rivers; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren;
one expected great-great-grandson in August; one sister: Janet Kowalski of Manitowoc;
and a very special companion: John Fazer of Green Bay. She was preceded in death by
her two husbands: Robert Mlada and Felix Veeser; her parents: Emil and Rose Duebner;
her in-laws: Erwin and Hazel Mlada; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Edward and
Marian Mlada; one daughter: Bonnie Kay Wallen as well as several extended family
members.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 9 a.m. until the time of services
at 11 a.m. at the church. Carmen will be sadly missed by family as well as all who
knew her. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory of Manitowoc is serving the family.
