Mrs. Alfred (Lucille) Vavrunek, 58, of 1101 Cherry Rd., Manitowoc, died early
Wednesday morning, August 29, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at Parkside Funeral Home and 10 a.m.
at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Mitch Weber will
officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Vavrunek, nee Lucille Drab, was born Sept. 21, 1920, in the Town of Carlton,
Kewaunee County, daughter of the late Frank and Anna Kustka Drab. She was educated
in a Town of Carlton Grade School and Kewaunee High School, and was married to
Alfred J. Vavrunek Nov. 24, 1945, at Two Rivers. She worked as a secretary at
Insulation and Supply Company, Manitowoc, retiring in 1974, and was a member of
Holy Innocents Parish and the Altar and Rosary Society of the church.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred, two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Janet) Stone
and Mrs. James (Jean) Typner of Manitowoc; three brothers, George and Wilmer Drab
of Kewaunee and Vern Drab of Algoma; a sister, Mrs. David (Eleanor) Dixon of Two
Rivers and five grandchildren, Becky, Michael, Amy and Mark Stone and Robert
Typner.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, where a
prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer
Society.
