JOHN VAN DER LOUIS

John Van Der Louis, 55, of 17 Circle Dr., Brillion, died Thursday in Veteran's Hospital at Wood, Wis. Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday in Wieting Funeral Home and 10:30 am in St. Mary Catholic Church, Brillion. The Rev. Raymond Dowling will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Van Der Louis was born July 22, 1923 in Reedsville, son of the late John and Margaret Menlick Van Der Louis. His first wife, the former Rose Ann Schubert, preceded him in death in 1949. He married Carmen Larson Nov. 19, 1949 and had been employed with Brillion Iron Works, retiring this year due to ill health. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic church and Knights of Columbus Third and Fourth Degree.
Survivors include a son, Richard of Florida; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Patricia) Sharp of Milwaukee; a brother, Stanley (Joe) of Reedsville; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Gosz of Appleton and Mrs. Peter (Dolores) Manghea of Edgerton and three grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Wieting Funeral Home after 4 o'clock this Friday afternoon and Saturday until the time of service. A wake service will be 5:30 o'clock Friday and a memorial service at 7:30 o'clock by members of the Knights of Columbus.
