ROCHESTER -- A memorial service for Benjamin Tuininga will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 22 at Story Book Lodge, near Gilbert, Minn. Burial will be in Biwabik Township Cemetery, near Virginia, Minn. A private family service will also be held.
Mr. Tuininga, 90, a longtime resident of the Biwabik, Minn., area, died Friday (July 27, 2007) at St. Raphael's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Eveleth, Minn. He is the father of Ruth (Dean) Lindstrom of Rochester.
He also is survived by his wife, Grace; two other children; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister; and a brother. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Jean; a sister; and a brother.
The family prefers memorials to Story Book Lodge.
