He was born at White Lake, sixty-six years ago. He served in the war, having been a member of Co. K, 124th Regiment, N.Y.V.
He moved to Haven eighteen years ago and during the years he lived there won a warm place in the hears of all in that community. He was a good citizen, and a kind friend and neighbor, being always willing to help in time of need.
He is survived by his wife, whom he married forty-one years ago, and the following children, all of whom have grown to manhood: Ira, of Middletown; Chauncey and John, of Jersey City, and William, David, Henry and Bert, at home.
