NICK K. TSOPELS

Nick K. Tsopels, 79, of 825 N. 10th St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning at
Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. James Episcopal
Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Andrew Daregas will officiate and burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Tsopels was born Jan. 10, 1893, in Greece, son of the late Constantine
and Joanna Avrilionis Tsopels. He migrated to the United States in 1909. In
1930, he returned to Greece where he married Mary Georgopoulos. The couple
returned to Manitowoc and established residence. He was associated with the
Tsopels and Adraktis firms, retiring in 1962. He was a veteran of World
War I, serving as a private from May 24, 1918, until his discharge Dec. 12,
1918. He was a member of the American Legion Drews-Bleser Post No. 88 of
Manitowoc and the Order of Ahepa.
Survivors include his wife, two brothers, Spyros,of Manitowoc and Dimitros,
of Greece; two sisters, Helen and Anastasia, of Greece; and several nieces
and nephews. Three brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Ninth street entrance,
Manitowoc, from 4 o'clock this Friday afternoon until closing Friday evening
and until 1:30 p.m. Saturday when the body will be taken to the church to
lie in state until the time of service. Prayer service will be at 7:30
o'clock Friday evening at the funeral home.
