Hugo H. Trippler Sr., 82, who had been living with his daughter, Mrs. Martin
Van Dornick, of 2425 S. 18th St., Manitowoc, died Monday evening at Memorial
Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, the Rev. Vernon Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Trippler was born Aug. 14, 1882, in the Town of Grover, Marinette County,
son of the late Frederick and Theresa Stefke Trippler. He came to Manitowoc
Aug. 20, 1905, and married Emma Hardow at Manitowoc May 12, 1909. He was
employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding, Inc. and retired in 1942. He was a member
of Steamfitters Local 298 of Green Bay. Mrs. Trippler died in 1933.
Survivors are a son, Hugo E. of Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Ervin Hinn of
North Fond du Lac and Mrs. Van Dornick; two brothers, Arthur and Louis, of
Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Bone of Vancouver, Wash., and 13 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
