Elwood Call Leader 6 Oct 1971 Elwood,Madison Co.,Indiana EARL TOWNSEND DIES TUESDAY Earl T. Townsend, 66, 538 Maple St. Tipton, died in the Tipton County Memorial Hospital at 1 a.m. Tuesday. He had been ill for several years. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Mitchell Funeral Home with Rev Chester Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at the Normanda Cemetery. Friends may call anytime at the funeral home. The deceased was born April 25,1905 in Elwood the son of Thomas and Nora Walker Townsend Goodwin, he was retired from Stellite in Kokomo. Survivors are one daughter Mrs.Robert(Margaret Ann)Small,1798 Meadow Brook Drive Kokomo; one son Shelby Kay Townsend,route 3; one brother Murl Townsend, one half-brother Arnold Goodwin and a half-sister Mrs.William(Gladys)Weismiller,Curtisville.
