HENRIETTA TOLLEFSON

Mrs. Even Tollefson, 89, of 915 St. Clair St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly at the home Tuesday.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church Chapel, Manitowoc, with the Rev. Vernon Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Henrietta Hansen was born July 10, 1873, at Christiansaand, Norway, daughter of the late Thomas C. and Henrietta Halvosen Hansen. She came to America with her parents in 1883, and the family settled at Manitowoc. She attended Manitowoc public schools and was graduated from the old North Side High School. She was an elementary school teacher for many years in Manitowoc and Shawano counties and was on the organizational staff when Manitowoc Vocational School was started. She was a member many years of First Lutheran Church.
In 1900, she was married to Even Tollefson. He died in 1921. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. C.H. Barnstein, of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3:30 p.m. Thursday until 11 a.m Friday when the casket will be moved to the church chapel where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
Memorials to First Lutheran Church will be appreciated.
