EARL TOLLEFSON

Earl O. Tollefson, 69, of 203 E. Reed Ave., Manitowoc, died Wednesday afternoon in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval W. Kock will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Tollefson was born July 2, 1908, in Valders, son of the late Martin and Anna Mathias Tollefson. He was graduated from Valders High School in 1926, attended University of Wisconsin for two years and also received a degree from a Manitowoc area business college. Mr. Tollefson served in the U.S. Army during World War II, attaining the rank of corporal. He married Ruth A. Moldenhauer March 29, 1943, in St. Louis, Mo. He and his step-father, the late Gust Tollefson, operated the Valders Barber Shop for a number of years. He was then employed at Hamachek Co., Ken Lewis Inc. for 38 years as an accountant and in recent years was secretary-treasurer of the company. He was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church and was active on the church council. He was also a member of American Legion Drews-Bleser Post No. 88 of Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth, two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith A. and Joseph D. Pemberton of Wauwatosa and Sandra L. and John W. Minors of St. Paul, Minn.; three grandchildren; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ernest and Ethel Moldenhauer and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call in First German Evangelical Lutheran Church after 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of service. Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
