MEADE THOMPSON

Meade N. Thompson, 92, of 1235 S. 24th St., Manitowoc, died Monday morning, August 3, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Private family services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. David Passet will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson was born Oct. 27, 1888, at Manitowoc, son of the late Nels and Mathilda Thompson Thompson. He married Bertha Lohse Oct. 29, 1910, at Manitowoc. The couple resided in Manitowoc, where Mr. Thompson was employed as a machinist with Manitowoc Engineering Company for 20 years, retiring in 1960. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and former member of Manitowoc Odd Fellows.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha of Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law, George and Ethel Thompson of Kaukauna; a daughter-in-law, Violet and Fred Steffen of Manitowoc; a sister, Neida Clusen of Manitowoc, seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. A son, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Wesley United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
