MABEL E. THOMPSON

Mrs. Mabel E. Thompson, 73, of 1500 N. 3rd St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 22, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Edmund E. Olson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Thompson was born Nov. 5, 1909, at Collins, Wis., daughter of the late Herbert and Minnie Behnke Halverson. She was educated at Collins. She was married to Norman A. Thompson, Aug. 16, 1941, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Valders. The couple had resided at Manitowoc since 1961. Mr. Thompson preceded her in death in June of 1971. Mrs. Thompson was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Gay Nell and Gerald Wavrunek of Two Rivers, Mary Lee and Robert Campbell of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Donna Lou and Richard Todl of nieces and nephews (sic). She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Herbert, and a granddaughter, Diane.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and until 11 a.m. Friday, and at the church from noon until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Lutheran Vespers.
