Mrs. Bertha E. Thompson, 95, formerly of Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, died Saturday, June 8, at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Wesley United Methodist Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Robert Hays will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Thompson was born March 12, 1890, at Germany, daughter of the late Fred and Emily Post Lohse. She was educated in the Manitowoc School System. She was married to Meade Thompson, Oct. 29, 1910, at Manitowoc. The couple resided in Manitowoc. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, George and Ethel Thompson of Little Chute, Wis; a daughter and son-in-law, Violet and Fred Steffen of Manitowoc; a brother, Edward Lohse of Florida; seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mead in 1981, a great grandduaghter, four brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of srvices. There will be no Monday evening visitation. Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, are handling funeral arrangements.
