Frank Thomason, 80, Buckford Road, New Hope, died at Huntsville Hospital Thursday at 10:45 p.m.
A funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the New Hope Church of Christ with burial in Moon Cemetery with Blythe Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Thomason is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gurtha Thomason of New Hope; four sons, Carlos Thomason of Paint Rock, Melvin Thomason and Milford Thomason, both of Nashville, and Willis Thomason of Huntsville; two daughters, Mrs. H. C. Blankenship of Clearwater, Fla., and Mrs. Morris Webster of Brownsboro; a stepdaughter, Mrs. James Mann of New Hope; a sister, Mrs. Lee Morrison of Decatur; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Thomason started barbering at the age of 19 and had been a barber in New Hope since 1929.
He was born in Marshall County in 1887 and was a member of the New Hope Church of Christ.
The body will remain at the residence in New Hope until an hour prior to the service. His grandsons will be pallbearers.
